Dining Rooms with Personality| Designing with Confidence

Dining rooms with personality can easily be designed by you by taking a look at your own personality and life style. You are unique, so show it in your surroundings. My goal with this blog is to help you discovery your unique personality in the elements and principles of good design. You use these traits everyday when you get dress. I know it is hard to see the correlation between how you decorate your body verses decorating your home.
I started this blog for my www.LookersEyewear.com site. Today, just about every website has a blog associated with it. My Lookers Eyewear customers fit into the niche of good design. Yes, Lookers is not for everyone, as a Chanel purse is not for everyone. Stay with me on our journey together to find your unique personality in the home.
Let’s take a look at some dining rooms with personality and see if any of them speak to you.
Since the furniture is a little formal for the this home owner, using the transparent slipcovers takes out the formality and adds a little drama to the setting. I could see silver or maybe, clay pots being at home in this setting. Guest could be in blue jeans or a formal attire and feel right at home in this setting. This home owner likes using antiques, but likes to pump up the setting with painted Country French chairs. The Brunswick & Fils fabric on the chair backs are very expensive, but it seems they used only six repeats, which could be worth the cost. Putting money where it shows makes a big impact. It reminds me of how an expensive (quality) pair of shoes can make a nothing outfit look special. If you are buying beautiful things for the dining room one piece at a time, try skirting a table until you can buy a great table. I remember years later, when my client purchased a table , we used the skirted fabric to make lumbar pillows (12″ by 18″) for the chairs. This dining room serves two-fold purpose. The stain bookcases give the room a comfortable casual feel. I see the two different style chair showing the owners eclectic personality. One thing that makes the chairs flow together is they are both from the Country French family.Chairs that have a cottage design fabric can make a dining room feel comfortable and cozy. Sometimes it makes sense to have a two-fold purpose for some dining rooms, since more people are living in condos or apartments. This is a very pretty and colorful dining room. Now that I have shown you a few dining rooms, take look at this one. Can you imagine the person that lives here? I think it would be a jolly, cheerful person who dresses with a lot of bright colors and flare. Personality plus here.
